I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO, and a member in good standing with Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy, I have earned a post-graduate diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy (CTP), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the OCAD University. I have been teaching yoga and mindfulness since 2011, and offering individualized yoga therapy since 2012. I’m currently advacing my training/deepening my skillset, specializing in trauma with Dr. Janina Fisher and couples therapy with Dr. Stan Tatkin at the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy Institute.
I work psychotherapeutically with individuals, couples, and in groups.
My path to psychotherapy has been shaped by a lifelong devotion to artistic expression, which continues to inform how I understand and engage in the healing process. Creativity, for me, is not separate from the therapeutic encounter—it is essential to it. I believe that meaningful psychotherapy requires curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to explore the unknown together. Much like art-making, it invites us to examine the narratives we live by: the stories we tell ourselves about who we are, what we’ve experienced, and how we relate to the world around us. In therapy, we begin to uncover and question these stories, opening the possibility for change, new perspectives, and deeper self-understanding.
My early adulthood and undergraduate years were wholly immersed in the visual arts, culminating in a conceptual thesis project in 2008 that marked a turning point in my life. That experience cracked something open in me, setting me on a course that moved beyond the studio and into the realm of healing. Since then, my personal and professional journey has woven together psychotherapy, somatic practices, holistic health, and contemplative traditions such as yoga and mindfulness.
In my years practicing and teaching mindfulness, I have noticed that contemplative practice elicits vulnerability and pain. Because we are relational mammals hardwired for connection and belonging, we’re limited in what we can process on our own. We need another human to bear witness, someone who has done their work, in order to contact long-lasting healing.
My background includes over 900 hours of personal therapy and group process work, alongside training in somatic practices, mindfulness, yoga, and holistic health. These experiences have taught me that while introspective practices can open us to profound truths, we are ultimately relational beings who need others to experience deep, layered, and lasting healing.
My practice is rooted in psychodynamic principles, attachment science, neuroscience, structural dissociation (“Parts”), and trauma-informed nervous system regulation, all tailored to support you in exploring the unconscious processes, attachment patterns, and emotional reactivity/responses that shape daily life and relationships.
This is lifelong work, and though it asks much of us, the rewards—greater peace of mind, emotional freedom, and deeper connection—are profound and enduring.
